It is 11:30pm on a Saturday night and I am sitting in the Ubyssey office. Metric is playing not 2 minutes from where I am, but I can't get in, therefore I am filled with sadness. This is my fault though, because I decided to go to Destiny's Child tonight (for free!) with Jill instead. I think it was a fair trade... it was everything a giant arena Destiny's Child concert should be, complete with a waterfall in the middle of the stage for the finale! No Jay-Z though. But so, so much ass shaking.

Now I shall slink back to the suburbs.

(ps. i quit staples! YES!)

1:25am edit: in the same night in which I watch a 92 dollar concert for free, I pay 15 dollars to watch 45 minutes of metric. I guess the universe has to balance itself out somehow...

were you in the moshy area? that was intense!! my glasses got knocked to the floor and almost got stepped on. that was a scary moment... but good times all around!

i'm not sure yet... ANDREW quit! he got a new job! hahahah. so gary's doing the scheduling now but my last week's schedule isn't out yet.

I didn't think we were ready for that jelly.
But apparently we were. Plus, we saw a fist fight! At Destiny's Child!

And for future reference: I would like a waterfall to descend from the ceiling at random moments. And a power-ballad dress that turns into a one-piece unitard/bathing suit. Who knows when that would come in handy?
